Although the Tea Party has not endorsed any candidate for Lamar Alexander’s seat, Joe Carr was in Sevierville to speak to the Sevier County Tea Party Thursday evening, March 20th at the Sevier County Court House. Mr. Carr is a strong conservative serving as Representative for TN House district 48 first elected in Nov. 2008. Mr. Carr is married to wife Ginny and has three children and one grandchild. He serves on several committees including Government Operations, Local Government and Chairs the Subcommittee on Local Government. Joe Carr seeks to represent Tennessee in the U.S. senate in Washington because he believes our country is in crisis and Tennesseans are hungry for strong, principled, conservative leadership. Mr. Carr says it is really simple – he believes the Second Amendment protects all of the other amendments and the Tenth Amendment protects the states against tyrannical federal government. He is supported by many conservative groups including the Coalition for a Constitutional Senate and the “Beat Lamar” PAC. The Tea Party Nation endorsed Carr as soon as he announced. “Right to Life” rates him at 100%; The Tennessee National Federation of Independent Businesses rated him 92-100% and the NRA rates him “A”. Mr. Carr is fiscally conservative and wants to help preserve our nation for the future...
