Frequently Asked Questions

Can you tell me more about your organization?

The Sevier County Tea Party is made up of ordinary citizens, your friends, co-workers and neighbors, who feel that our country is on the wrong path and that the principles of our Founding Fathers – Liberty, Smaller Government and Personal Responsibility have all but been lost in present day American government.

We are not affiliated with any organization or political party. It is our goal to create events to unify, energize and motivate the silent majority who feel it is time to reclaim our government at every level, stop careless spending from the White House to the State House to the Courthouse, and to re-instill the principles of our founding fathers.
What are some upcoming events?

Please check our Coming Events page for the latest meeting and event information. Generally, we meet monthly to inform and educate our members on the latest issues of national, state and local importance, and to determine the best ways to positively affect upcoming elections as well as pending legislation at all levels.

We also hold additional events and coordinate with other area Tea Party groups as much as we can. We will provide information as those plans are better developed. Check back often for updates .

Where can I find information about Tea Party Events?

There will be Tea Parties throughout Tennessee and throughout the nation. For information check out these sites:

How can I plan an event in my area?

There is nothing special about the organizers of Tea Party events, such as the April 15th tax day tea party protests across the nation. We are all just ordinary citizens who want to make a difference and promote change. You can do this too! A good source can be found here: “How to Organize your Own Tea Party Protest.”
