The mid-term elections are upon us. The population at large does not turn out in force during these elections. So one has to ask: are mid-terms really that important?
That question has to answered with another question: aren’t all elections important? And to that, the answer is an unequivocal “yes”.
Over the years, elections have become little more than popularity contests. The importance of electing the right person goes beyond whether or not he’s a good soap-salesman. All elections have a dramatic impact on the direction of federal, state, and local government.
