Governors Race

The race for governor is on, and there are several candidates competing for that title. The winner of the race will set the state’s agenda for the next four years, so it’s important for you to know who the candidates are in order to make an informed decision at the ballot box.

We will be hosting our first candidate guest, Kay White, Thursday, Nov. 16th. Being a Christian conservative, she’s been involved in grass roots politics for a number of years. Kay and her husband are the founders of the Tri-cities tea party. In 2016, Kay took on the role of state director for Senator Santorum’s presidential campaign. More recently, she was the national director of Stand For Principles PAC for Senator Cruz’s 2016 campaign before stepping down to be the E. TN director for the Trump campaign.

Another important item on the agenda is voting for a name change of our organization. The proposed name changes are Tennessee Patriots ( or Volunteers), Sevier County Patriots (or Volunteers), Vanguards of Sevier County, or no name change at all, keeping our current name Sevier County Tea Party. This is your organization, so it’s important that you consider these proposals and cast your vote at out meeting.

Please join us Thursday, November 16th at the Sevier County Courthouse starting at 6:30 to hear Kay’s platform and cast your vote. It’s a meeting you won’t want to miss. And bring a friend ! They’ll be voting, too.

In Liberty,

Steve Osborn
