Where Was The Tea Party

Members,
There were several primaries for Washington D.C. offices this week, and tea party candidates were on the ballots in many of those races. Every one of them got a shellacking. Who would have thought that Boehner would be re-elected, especially after his plans to push amnesty was exposed?
Even though Mitch McConnell has a tea party-backed challenger receiving campaign contributions from out of state, Mitch maintains a solid lead at this point.
So where has the tea party been? One would think that after the republican establishment declared war on the tea party, we would know who our “enemy” really is, and have the fighting spirit stirring in our spirits. Admiral Yamamoto of the Japanese Imperial Navy knew what his attack on Pearl Harbor would generate: “I fear all we have done is awakened a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve”. That sleeping giant today should have been the grass-root.
The left wing media is headlining a poll released Thursday: Tea party support among Republicans drops, poll finds CBS News.
The poll states that support for our movement has dropped 20 points in 4 years. I doubt the validity of that poll, but the pundents are quoting it as justification for establishment republican victories. Mark Levin explains what Karl Rove and t

he establishment

did to win. You can hear his explanation by clicking the link inside the following sentence: “Levin said the question of whether the Tea Party is dead is a stupid one, and he asked why establishment Republicans were spending “millions of dollars laundered through Karl Rove’s group and Mitch McConnell’s National Republican Senatorial Committee” to fight and trash conservatives:

I think the more likely reason for tea party losses is the members themselves. While Karl Rove is pouring money into establishment candidate campaigns, many tea party folk would rather give vocal and monetary support for a candidate, but expect someone else to do the work, like making calls on behalf of a candidate, or going door-to-door targeting likely voters asking for their support of a conservative candidate. Admittedly, it takes work, and can be tiring. BUt it can be fun, too. If we are to elect conservatives, we have to understand our opposition, and how they win elections. We have to counter that.
Our neighbors in Blount County, Mary Cook and the Smoky Mtn. tea Party Patriots, are SHINING examples of how to defeat RINO’s. They sought out–AND ELECTED  — six conservative candidates to their county board. But it took work. And it paid off. Her email to me explaining how they did it is below.
When you–the members–vote on which senatoral candidate should get our support, we as an organization need to repeat what the Smoky Mtn. Tea Party Patriots did; work. IF we do, then I could just about guarentee that Lamar will be defeated in Sevier County.

We the Tea Party have replaced 6 incumbents. We were able to get our

folks in. This is a miracle for Blount Co. The “machine” is upset

and mad at us all. Going to go after some more with write in’s and we have a “conservative” democrat we are all going to campaign for as he is a lot better than the incumbent that is nothing more than a RINO.

It was fun, campaigned the polls for the new candidate and he got 859

votes to the incumbent 529. This incumbent is a retired principal

property tax & wheel tax promoter; he is gone by a new comer. Well known in the community and folks told me when I was campaigner they agreed with my view and “wished me well saying you got lots of hard work to do to get him off”. My answer was we are going to send him home.

All of our group and another group all worked together as a team,

supported with money, time, volunteering and worked to all the good folks. We have a great opportunity to turn this county around to being a Tea Party commission. So proud of our new candidates we are all in shock yet. Can’t wait for them to be sworn in we will be at the meetings to support our new candidates.

Amazing gentleman moved here from New Hamshire and he showed up at our

meeting we got him to run not being well known but due to the hard work of our TP and helping him to campaign he won over a Blount Co

unty

native who has been on the commission for 12 years. That was a milestone he talked to the folks, walked and knocked on doors. Love it. This is the biggest win to get incumbents out in a 100 years they tell me.

No one has ever accomplished this much in one election. We are all in a cloud of happiness and thanking our Father in Heaven for helping us. Most of the

candidates were unknown. I feel very blessed to have our prayers

answered, it happened through the Grace of God with his hands over us all. We are so blessed.

Thank you for asking suppose you did not want to receive a full book

of answers but our great folks in our Tea Party came through and we are getting stronger. Hard to make changes in this county but watch

and see how we are going to do it.

Lots of love to you and your entire tea party, we are all tops
